Grease Monkey at "Ink Passion"

Cindy Frey's "Ink Passion" book is dedicated to her tattooist Jean Harais. So on the opening night of the exhibition in Oostende last weekend Jeans band "Grease Monkey" rocked it upstairs at the bar. Jean is on the far right. His tattoo skills are undeniably amazing, and his band is killer.

Cindy Frey "Ink Passion"

Last weekend was the opening of Cindy Frey's gallery & exhibition for her brand new book "Ink Passion" which was held in Oostende, Belgium and will be there until the end of August. I went to stay with her for a few days before the exhibition in Kortrijk, she is the nicest person to hang with. If you have met her you will know how much of a kind & warm person she is.
The new book is great, another milestone for Cindy in her Photography career. "Ink Passion" features photography & portraits of Cindy's friends and bands (including members from The Gaslight Anthem) that she knows from all over the place from many different walks of life who all share the same passion for tattoo's.
Here is a portrait I shot of Cindy & also a couple of pictures of the gallery.

Dust yourself off & try again

Here are a couple of photo's of Franklin Stephens between attempts at a trick down the gap at "Russia".
Unfortunately he couldn't quite roll away even though he landed on it most times. After a lot of attempts, stressing, some heartache, & a few laughs as well, he decided to call it quits & try another day. Every skateboarder knows that's the way it goes sometimes though.
I wont spoil the surprise of what trick he was trying, hopefully I'll get a photo when he does it.
Dust yourself off & try again.

Mums the word

Here are a couple of portraits from earlier this year of my friend Liarna Rowe with her new baby boy, Connor. These were not posed up, I just took them "off the wall" style. Most young women find the thought of motherhood rather daunting, but she's a natural, so level headed about it all despite everything. I admire Liarna very much for this. She is & will be a rad mum.

Do you remember the good old days?...

My apologies for the lack of posts this week, been celebrating my 21st birthday which turned into a bit of a bender....
These photos are from a couple of months ago, skating a stump/paving slab gap at a school. Sometimes the smallest things to skate are the most fun. Brendon Baker managed a steezy nollie pop shuv over it & bail pose of the year!
