Try is a set up word for fail

Recently I have been doing a little photography for local free magazine IP1. I have had pieces published in the past two issues, 29 & 30. Those will be up soon just in case you didn't manage to get hold of a copy.
The theme for issue 29 was "Sex, Drugs & Rock n Roll" and so IP1 editor Howard Freeman, wanted the cover to show this accordingly, so I thought "why not have a pop at it? It's worth a try" .
In the end someone decided to go with another piece. Here is my rejected piece which hasn't seen the light of day until now.
Any feedback on this would be great.
